LMAO. The government forces banks to make bad loans and then points the finger at them for doing it when the house of cards collapses. How hypocritical can it get?

Anti Trust Alert, Let’s nail them!
Cut them up into separate banks, and make them chose (Again) Investment or commercial bank.
And de-repeal the law (Or make a new one, and don’t FUBAR it.)

@Itajiwolf: agreed – Vince is like the Obi-Wan of economics, everything he’s said leading up to and since the financial crisis has been dead on.

DISORDER.

Its not what COULD have happened in this situation…
its what could have happened if this was a coordinated attack?

What if 10 more Muslims attacked when Hassan did and they took out the base commander…

this Canadian officer would have been in charge of coming up with and implementing strategy for American soldiers.

Im just not comfortable with the whole idea and if its part of a larger campaign to include Mexico as well, then Im REALLY not comfortable with the idea.

Then you should know that our participation in NATO is not relevant to the topic at hand.

NATO is not NORAD.

At the NATO level they do swap command…

I guess you can consider than a point.
But its a very weak one.

We dont invade random countries for no reason.

Theres very specific reasons why we invade those poor countries. Nothing random about it. We wouldnt do it if SOMEONE wasnt getting SOMETHING out of it.

Its Americas corrupt leadership and its electoral system being compromised that is the problem with Americas decision making.

Our Presidents and their appointed administrations are nothing more than sock puppets.

This aint no?
What else aint it aint?

I was in Afghanistan.
We had Australian Special Forces working WITH us, but we were not taking orders from ANY Australian forces.

And thats not a knock on them or their abilities.
That just aint the way its done.
If a Staff Sargent from another unit gives orders to another Staff Sargents unit against his wishes or knowledge… 9 times out of 10 that Staff Sargent is going to have words with his fellow St Sgt.

And if its a foreign St Sgt giving orders…

Thats an ignorant ass reply.
When Canada officially becomes the 51st State, then I wont worry about it.

We do not take turns operating NORAD.
Its integrated where they watch over their sector while we watch over ours and watch each others backs.

That doesnt mean we have Canadian officers in charge of Cheyenne Mountain and all of our airspace.

But its good to know you wouldnt have a problem with that either. It lets me know what sort of idiot I am dealing with.

tommysch Said,

With a Canadian officer you even lower the risk of the new commanding officer wanting to invade a random country for no reason.

tommysch Said,

This aint no WW3, and even if it was I think your military would have more pressing issues.

You have Canadian officers in charge of American units in Afghanistan when its our turn.

mygif
tommysch Said,

The Canadian officer would probably be better anyway.

“then I guess I am just a conspiracy theorist and you are keeping it real.” I could not have formulated it better…

And it is stupid to compare a Saudi officer with a Canadian officer. Many Americans think of Canada as the 51th state.

Do you think we plan on invading the US for Christ sake? Remember that we take turns commanding NORAD.

And almost 10 years after he was responsible for this shit, Gramm called us a “nation of whiners”. Just think – if McCain had won, he could have been advising McCain on how else to screw us over.

Peter Schiff claimed he predicted the economc in 2007 – Byron Dorgan actually predicted it when the legislation that led to this mess was enacted – 10 years ago. Peter Schiff can’t say that the Gramm-Leach-Bliley and Commodity Futures Modernization Acts of 1999 created the mess (even though they did) because he and Ron Paul want to push through more bills just like that, so all he can do now is claim he predicted a crash in 2007 – without talking about the true cause.

There is an MP in the UK called Vince Cable who was telling the government here for years that the things the banks where doing was going to end in disaster .. and they laughed and called him a nut ..

Now he would like to break the banks back up into their pre 1999 form, hes been fighting for that for months now. I hope that the world can do this together so the banks dont just move to a place where they are all powerful

What’s funny is Dorgan was wrong. It only took about 5-7 years to self destruct the American economy. Goddamn, talk about incompetence…
