@Chaaarge ummm if it was still about calories in calories out. You wonldnt be wondering about a zig zag diet. HAHA would you? The trick is metabolic typing. Eat whats right for your body. You will burn those calories efficiently and be less hungry and your body will know what to do with those calories as opposed to processed crap or wrong types of food for your body. Why not eat when hungry and be at a healthy weight??? LIke metabolic typing instead of stressing out about cutting calories?

about the calorie cutting and thyroid function, wouldn’t doing a so called zig zag diet keep you losing weight? Eating 4 days very low calorie than 1 day eating more than twice what you’re eating on your diet. wouldn’t that keep your metabolism going? after all, you do have to eat less than your body burns up to lose weight. of course following a healthy diet will be better but weight is still about calories in and calories out

Yeah seriously. I wouldn´t do that at home even though I have never been overweight. I didn´t want to be rude and say no but I thought it was a little weird to drink coke right before going to bed.

I did treadmill for 2 months and hour and 20 mins a night, 3 miles or more. Dieted, gained 5 lbs and lost none, is it muscle?

Yup in deed. It took a long time for me to eat in the beginning with chop sticks. I bought home some chop sticks so I eat with them sometimes. LOL before I used to eat mostly with a spoon like macaronies and minced meat or rice and chicken that I cut to pieces. I sometimes drink tea instead of coffee.

Started to eat more food and do weightlifting. I have been lifting weights for a few years now but I don´t really look like someone that lifts weights because I can eat a lot without gaining much weight.

Ok that sucks. I hope you will overcome it some way and eat more food cause you won´t be fat if you eat healthy food and small portions but not too small and like 4 to six times a day. My brother said that he thoughts that I was anorexic when I was 15 and I was skateboarding. I´m tall and I didn´t like have almost any bodyfat at all. I didn´t eat much and ate very little for breakfast and sometimes skipped lunch and I skated everyday. A school nurse said that I should gain weight so I

yeah my diet is like 50 percent of healthy carbs, so im not sesitive either. and i love any tea which is good for me since its healthy. chopsticks also make you eat slowly which is good, we just scarf down our food in america..thats a problem!

Yeah it´s not so bad to eat rice with meat or fish or chicken and some vegetables. Some people are carb sensitive but I´m not. I have eaten a lot of carbs but healthy food like bread, pasta, rice and potatoes Etc and I have never been overweight. I don´t like the Japanese green tea at first but I got used to it after a while. I like the English green tea more. Hey I learned to eat with chopsticks too. At the restaurants I could eat with knife and fork if I wanted to.

your right in my opinion, rice is not bad at all i think, its a whole food, and low in fat, nothing wrong with it i think its healthy honestly. and tea, i LOVE green tea, i love any tea though, also there very healthy there foods are not full of chemicals like in america.

Yeah but my comment is right. Most Japanese are not fat or at least not overweight and they eat a lot of white rice and noodles. They eat different food not just sushi but many Japanese like fish. They also drink a lot of tea. They sell green tea in bottles in many places.

Yeah because if they start to eat more fast food and drink more sodas than green tea and water. There are healthy food that you can make fast but I mean if they start to eat fast food with a lot if sugar and trans fats and too much saturated fats. The Japanese do drink Coke. When I slept at my friends house his mother wanted me to drink coke and eat pancakes right before we went to bed but I didn´t want to say no to her. I would never drink coke before bed when I´m at home.

So right about the cardio. It seems that the average person is usually about 20-30 years behind science when it comes to dietary and fitness knowledge. For some reason they seem to be content to live in the past even if it means that they suffer for it. The world is not flat but believing so seems to provide some people with a sort of comfort. Excessive cardio reduces testosterone and raises cortisol thereby burning up muscle mass…..the exact opposite of what one should be striving for.

Two points: 1.) Traditional Japanese don’t eat A LOT of anything. They would eat a small fraction of the food that an American would consider to be enough. 2.) The traditional Japanese diet is going the way of the dinosaur. Western dietary influences have been creeping into the far east for quite some time and as you might expect the average Japanese citizen has gotten fatter and less healthy. Japan never had an obesity problem but is starting to now.
