hey 14, I am not a FW person but you goofed up. first you should not move fish that are in the midst of parenting. second fish are territorial and she appeared as a new fish and a new threat.

hey jim my electric yellow cichlids just had fry. while my fish was holding the fry in the mothers mouth i put her on the other side of a tank divider for about 2 weeks, when she spit out the fry from her mouth i put her in the other side with all the other cichlids and when i put her back in all the other cichlids killed her. do you know why.

hey I, no, you can not use copper in a reef tank. seek out a reef-safe medication. i have no brand recommendations.

hey D, generally you should not. if its a thin layer of sand, less than 1″, I would consider it as this is where a tremdous amount of debri resides especially in old reef tanks.

Hey i, a reef tank is much more difficult to treat for parasites. most medications are either very weak or holistic in their approach.
