I’ve been told it is due to the DEA, I find that unbelievable. When chronic pain strikes it seems no one wants to help, anyone know why?
they need to find the cause first before then can give you anything
They can’t find the cause of your pain because they don’t know what they are looking for. After over 20 years of chasing around with p.t., chiro, and accupuncture, I had to figure it out myself. Having been a bio-med tech helped me work throgh the process and how to release all the muscles in the body. When I try to tell the dr.’s they want to see clinical studies. When I have taken care of the people I have helped with one session there is no need for any study and I am not set up for that, I just help people. And I know those pains are real, but I also know how to release the muscles and nerves causing them.
The best way is to go to a Dr who is a Pain Specialist. They understand pain and believe that is important to treat it well. They have all sorts things including drug free electrical pain block. And best they believe you have pain and will work to find a way for you to treat it.
chronic pain doesn’t “strike”;; then it is “acute” pain;; if it is recurring, that’s different;; acute pain is easiest to treat because the evidence of the injury is there, the patient is more likely able to recall the injury & how it happened;; when it comes down to chronic pain, it is so difficult to treat because of the opposite of acute;; most likely it is not only the initial inury but also the constant misuse of the body part, or constant disease process that exhacerbates the situation; say initial strain to the rotator cuff, with further misuse causes a tear, then builds up scar tissue, then causes a person to utilize the trunk & neck in different ways to compensate for the shoulder discomfort & limited function;; then causes the joint itself to be dysfunctional & possibly also build up scar tissue, then causes the upper spine to get whacked & start causing pain, then all of a suddden it starts to bother the hip;; but these things are evident;; try looking @ back problems (one of the most difficult things, & prevalent) the body is a complicated thing, one issue can lead into thousands & then per report of the patient, they will only tell you what hurts the most;; SO>>> the best thing to do, if something is painful or reduces your function for >3days, get it checked;; if it doesn’t sound right, get a second opinion;; get insurance to help ya out & take care of your bodies!!;; pn mgmt really just helps you with masking the symptoms but really doesn’t look for a “cure”.. the only way to do this is to get it checked when acute;; & THAT’s why you see a lot of answers here saying GO TO THE DOC!!
trivial fact: guys are phenominal for saying “I’m ok, it’ll get better, just give it time”;; & a lot of people just plain don’t listen, or forget, their doctors orders in regards to treatment…
the body also has a certain time for repair from an “injury”;; usually scar tissue builds up to repair whatever was “broke” or injured;; the scar tissue itself is pliable for ~1&1/2 > 2yrs, then it’s pretty solid (like bone);; it’s the body’s way of healing;; unfortunately, the excess scar tissue, the adhesions that have not frayed away from proper use of the body, stay;; they cause symptoms, especially if there is a good amount left over;; so when I hear about these kids who fracture something or strain a muscle & want to get back into their sport “quicker”, or heal “quicker”, or people that don’t or can’t have medical insurance to help, it makes me cringe, cuz I know when they get older, they’re gonna have problems;; problems that could have been prevented by not waiting to get it checked, or by not doing what the doc orders, or by continuing on with life like nothing happened.. The body is a fascinating thing, we should take better care of it!!
Too many drug addicts have used physicians as their drug dealers. This makes it very difficult for people who are really in pain to get the medication they need to alleviate it.
The government is partly responsible in so far as many states no longer allow prescriptions for narcotics to be filled during certain times. Another problem is that medical professionals have become leary of anyone who complains of pain without an apparent cause (see above).
The best way for someone to get chronic pain management: Ask your Doctor for a referral to a pain clinic.
